The Artist Formerly Known As...

Hey, I have a new name. Got this yesterday from a librarian friend (hi!):

"Here’s something I’ve never experienced before. In Expression Engine, an Asian artist’s name, Shu-Ju Wang, gets converted to Shu-Ju #!@? On the public’s side. I can only assume it’s interpreting her last name as male anatomy slang and censoring it..."

I rather like it, actually.

Hi! I like it too. It's edgy, but confused and possibly sarcastic at the same time.

LOl! That's a hoot!

There's an online service that rates your blog. I got a PG rating because the word "crack" shows up on my blog once in two years. It's a word-search thing, and didn't take into consideration that I wasn't talking about drugs.

hi! i work with photobrea! this made my day. in fact, i emailed all my friends when it happened because it cracked me up so much. it also made me wonder what latin-based names set off blog filters in say, farsi, cantonese, hindi, etc. if "heather" translates to something as good as wang, i want to know.

Now that you all mention the filtering business, I'm reminded that my other blog http://relayreplaypress.blogspot.com was flagged and blocked by google! I had to submit an application to get it unblocked. This is a blog about the books I've been working on with the elderly.

The only thing I can think of is that each entry is named with a woman's name!
